These work great to provide a finished look to my custom wall mounted cabinets. Visible wires are a pet peeve. These have allowed me to finish holes drilled in cabinets to hide wires, beautifully. 1.5†proved to be a difficult size to find. Thrilled I found these!

I Plan on using the lid to cover a hole in the back porch where we brought a cable into it to plug in thereby lighting the lights in the back yard. I cannot use the whole thing because the cable is already in place and I want to cover the hole that we rought the plug in thru so it won't rain in. With a bit of putty, I believe I can do this. The others I bought are so that I have something line this on hand for the next time we bring a cable thru a wall, so that I can use the unit as it is intended, instead of just plastering the cap on.

Product came and works great. I was a little hesitant to order based on the website and so many scams out there, but it's legit.

Exactly what I needed. Finishing a basement surround system and needed a clean way for in-wall speaker wires to connect to hanging speakers. Didn't want to fiddle with full-sized plates and terminals—I just wanted to connect the wires to the speakers directly. I used a hole saw to cut through drywall, used fish tape to get the wire from its location behind the wall to the hole. Installed the grommet base with construction adhesive (it fit perfectly), passed the wire through, installed the lid. The opening in the lid is a little larger than the wire, so I will probably put a dab of caulk there. The point is that the footprint of the entire connection is tiny and is completely hidden by the speaker itself, which is what I wanted.

Had white bar countertops installed with a hole in the granite to fit a margarita blender cord down through when needing electric. Could not find white and in 1/1/2 size at my local home improvement store. So glad to find it here to use to hide the rough drill hole on the countertop. Was very happy with price and product.

Local stores didn't have this size. So pleased to find these in white. I installed them in the top of my build in corner cabinet tables so the lamps cords are out of sight.

Just exactly what I wanted. I am using them on white painted wood and they blend so well you can't hardly see them. The size was exact with the 1.5" hole saw I used to make the holes. Fits perfect. I knew the depth would not be exact to go thru 5/8" plywood. They are short about 1/16" That is why I bought 20 so I could slice the tops off and apply then to the other side as it will show too on the vertical holes. I was disappointed they don't carry the letter slot grommets.

I realized once I received this grommet that the computer plug I wanted to fit thru the hole was too big. Therefore, since the grommet does not have the capability to slide the opening more, only thin wires can fit thru. Useless for my purposes now.
|
|
RESPONSE: Remove the LID of the grommet, slide it against the wire, and then place the grommet BACK in the ring. The plug does not need to travel through the opening hole
