"This tabletop stand is just what I was looking for to avoid having to install a wall mount with all the in-wall cabling, etc., required for that approach. My 55" LG UHD weighs 40 lbs so it is well within the weight limit. The stand is very stable and feels secure and sure-footed, but it does seem hard to imagine an 88 lbs TV on it. The installation required that I trim the bottom ends of the vertical support channels a bit to accommodate the irregular backplane of my TV and to get maximum height. Not a problem for me - I used a metal-cutting blade on a power oscillating tool. This stand allowed me to raise the lower edge of my larger TV over 6.5" above the entertainment center top it sits on so I can place audio gear beneath it. I could have probably installed it to get nearly 8" clearance if needed. (This would depend on your TV design and bracket placement.) I wanted the stand for this purpose and for the swivel feature (vs. just setting the TV on the Ent. Center). Very happy with my purchase."
