I'm installing an aftermarket entertainment system with one USB port in the rear of the system. Using the Y Extension allows me to put USB ports on both sides of the car. One side carrying data and charge with the other side carrying charge only, but allowing both the driver and passenger have charging access conveniently available.

There is a USB port in the back of my aftermarket entertainment system in my car. The manufacturer supplies you with a 6 foot cable intended to reach out from behind the radio for you to plug in whatever? What i do wilth the splitter is plug it into the back of the radio and then plug 2 usb ports into it. I then find a spot on the console or dashboard, drill a hole and push a USB plug into the hole. Looks like factory. I get the USB plug's from Crutchfield's. Initially I had bought a splitter from someone else on the internet, thinking that they were just wires and anything would work. Not So! When I plugged my iPhone into the 'data' port it didn't work, and the charge only side didn't charge either. I then found you guys, called, talked to a real person that told me I wouldn't have that issue with yours and I didn't! I'm grateful to have found this splitter from you guys or I might have been relegated to a 6 foot cable coming from behind the radio and ending up in my glove box or some other spot.

Had ordered the identical looking cable from another source. Data side worked but charging side didn't. Checked the fine print on the other one and it said would not charge apple devices. I happened upon the MyCableMart sight, checked with them re Apple devices, and was told no problem. Received my new cable prompted and it worked as promised! AND, I was able to talk to a human whose first language was English!!

Used this cable in Tesla Model 3 with Jeda charger and USB thumb drive for camera recording. Works very well with power only to the Jeda charger and Data/power for the USB thumb drive.

Split my Tesla front USB into two- 1 for power for iPhone, 1 for data for USB to record from cameras. Please improve product by putting red band around data cord to make more obvious which is which.

Since USB ports are limited on almost everything, I wanted these for what they are. They work well and I am pleased.

I used this splitter USB cable to increase a single automotive USB port so that I could both charge a smartphone as well as use a USB memory stick full of music to play through my car stereo at the same time. I no longer have to plug and unplug to accomplish both tasks.

These USB splitter cables are not particularly easy to find, and the CableMart prices are lower than everybody else while not sacrificing quality.

This product works as described. It allows me to have both a flash drive to play music and my cell phone connected for charging plugged into one USB port in my car. The 6 inch length is perfect as the port is in the cubby under the center armrest.
