“I purchased this HDMI-HDMI male to male changer for HDTV and the 2 port HDMI amplified splitter to connect the cable box to the splitter and route one HDMI cable to the TV and the other to the receiver. I just purchased an Ultra Hi-Def TV but it did not work on the UHD TV. Reading the manual I had to use the HDMI cable to the receiver and component cables to the TV from the cable box. This was how the connection was with the 2007 HD TV I replaced. I did not see the 5 wire connections on the new TV so I bought these 2 items. On the 4th of July I discovered that 2 cable splitters were supplied with the TV. Then I realized what they were for. However, I did try this products out on 2 DVD players and connected them to the receiver (just to see if the splitter was not faulty. IT WORKED GREAT which is why i gave an excellent rating. My lack of modern day technology was my fault. Perhaps if the TV owner manual explained what these 2 splitters were for and how to use them it would have been another story. ”
