Important This cable does NOT integrate or extract the digital audio into or from the HDMI portion of the cable. It instead is a convenient cable bundle that includes an ANALOG source and destination connection in the same cable harness. If you are looking to EXTRACT the audio from an HDMI source, you will instead need an HDMI AUDIO EXTRACTOR (see product shown to right)
This is a unique cable where the 3.5mm or 2 RCA audio is extruded along the HDMI and DVI cable in order to give an Audio source to this all in one cable. As most know that DVI has never given nor does it have an output for Audio, it only gives Video hence its prefix DVI for Digital Video Interface. As such consumers would have to buy an external audio cable at an extra cost and to manage an extra dangled cable. Distributors & wholesalers don't have to stock the extra cable in their inventory or bypass the extra sku. Well no more, as we have introduced a new cable solution to the market.
Purpose of use?
DVI was introduced and production started in 1999 with millions of hardware and peripherals utilizing the DVI connector and invention, but the downfall was that it had no audio. Thus millions of people are now stuck with the hardware in the consumers, prosumers and the professionals market and it would cost too much to discard, upgrade or replace a perfectly functioning equipment. Gamers are in it's own group who wanted the HighDef resolution but with the pitfall of no audio. With this cable it will offer a solution to link newer hardware with older existing hardware, which the market has long been waiting for.
