Was to be used with desk phone headset. The adpater di not work, though it fit both the headset and phone sockets. Not sure if the fit was wrong or it had a short, but it did not work with the headset. Build quality did seem good.

The product is as represented, but by my intended use for it failed. I wanted to patch one of my Panasonic KGTX ??? handsets into a computer to record saved voicemails. I ultimately got it to work with two handsets - one to connect to the computer and one to hear and control what was being recorded. The recording software I used was Audacity for both Windows 10 and Linux.

At the same time I ordered this right angle adaptor I ordered a straight line adaptor elsewhere. This right angle adaptor works, the straight line doesn't. I now wish I had ordered two of these right angle adaptors.

I bought the adapter to connect a headset to my house phone so I can talk without holding the phone while working. It was a replacement for an adapter that stopped working. The problem with this one is it only gives me sound in the right ear when I push it in all the way. I can get sound in both ears if I only plug it in halfway but it won't stay that way. The headset works fine with my iphone so I know it isn't an issue with the headset itself. I've also tried the adapter with two different house phones (different brands) and it has the same issue.

RESPONSE: The 2.5mm and 3.5mm ports on this device are made to precise ANSI and IEEE specifications for length of the male and female connectors.

After shaving off some of the plastic covering the adapter, it fit well into the absurdly small plug I needed. Audio quality is not hindered in any way.
