Quickly troubleshoot and verify HDTV installations with this compact device. This tester provides DC continuity test on all active HDMI pins by sequentially testing each data path. We use this tester to successfully troubleshoot HDMI-HDMI, HDMI-DVI (with suitable adapter, not included), and DVI-DVI (with suitable adapters, not included) cables. This set consists of two separate units: Main Unit The main unit has two HDMI connections, allowing easy testing of preassembled connections. Simply plug both ends of an HDMI cable into this unit for quick easy testing. Remote Unit This is especially useful when cable is installed inside a structure, between two rooms. Simply connect one end of the cable to the main unit, the other end to the remote unit. The remote unit provides all of the same LED indication of each signal path. Each signal path is sequentially tested automatically, or select manual operation, and a simple push of a button will advance to the next signal path. LED indication is provided on the main test unit, as well as the remote module. All connections are HDMI female type. Requires standard 9V battery, not included.
